"I
love
what
I do!"
My introduction to longarm quilting was
the answer to the age old question - "What do I want to do when I grow
up?" I had left the corporate world looking for something that was rewarding
and that I could do from my home. I dabbled in a few adventures and
was asked to make a chair cover for a wedding shower, which placed me at
my sewing machine for the first time in several years! Then a friend
took me to see my first Gammill and I said, "I can do that!" It was
love at first touch and has grown into a career that is a dream come true.
It is always my joy to see beautiful creations of my talented customers
and a privilege to help them create heirlooms for their friends and
families.
I have had the great fortune to take
classes from some of the most talented machine quilters in the country.
Cultivating my craft is an on-going pursuit.
When I started machine quilting, I had
only made one quilt with no idea of what quilting was all about.
(Check out my first
quilt) I started taking classes and building up my
"stash" and am now truly an addict! As a quilter, I understand the
time and effort that goes into the planning and construction of pieced
work making it important to me to work with my customers in selecting
designs and threads to ensure their satisfaction.
Home for me for many years was Southern California,
Yorba
Linda.. My husband and I began building our dream home
recently and
we have just moved to Lake Havasu, Arizona, along with
our two cats and one
crazy dog!
I have been sewing clothing and crocheting since the
second grade. My Mother
and my Grandmother were wonderful
teachers and a
great inspiration to me. When I am not
quilting I enjoy
reading, gardening, spending time on Lake Havasu or
kicking up sand with our ATV's.
